What a roast actually gives you

Paste a few bullets, your summary, even just the skills line โ€” or drop in the PDF โ€” and you get five things back. A one-liner that sums the resume up in a sentence. A roast paragraph, delivered ball by ball. A list of burns, one per thing that is genuinely wrong. A "real talk" note that drops the jokes and says what is holding the resume back. And a numbered fix list, most important first, so you know what to change before you change anything else.

It is written to be read out to a friend, and it is meant to sting a little. The point of the jokes is that a bulleted list of faults is correct and nobody acts on it; a roast you remember.

How the score works

The number out of 10 is not the AI's opinion. It is computed from the text itself โ€” how many bullets there are, how many of them carry a real figure, the word count and a handful of other signals โ€” so it is the same for the same text every time, and it changes the moment your resume does. That is the loop: apply the fixes in the box, press Roast again, and watch whether the score moved. A second press on unchanged text gives you new jokes, not the same ones.

Sixty characters is the minimum. One bullet works; a whole resume works better, because the score has more to measure.

Privacy

Nothing is stored unless you choose to save and share. Saving needs a sign-in and a tick on a consent box, publishes the roast at a public URL you can post on WhatsApp, LinkedIn or Twitter, and redacts emails, phone numbers and links automatically before anything is written. Until you do that, the text stays with you.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to get roasted?
No. Paste or upload and press Roast it. An account is only needed if you want to save the roast to a public link and share it.
What can I paste?
Anything from one bullet to the whole resume: bullets, a summary, a skills line. PDF, DOCX and TXT uploads work too. Hinglish is fine. The only rule is at least 60 characters.
Why did my score not change after a second roast?
Because the score comes from the text, not the jokes. If you re-roast the same text you get fresh burns but the same number. Edit the resume in the box first, then roast again.
